The Melbourne Cup Charity Luncheon is an annual event hosted by ANZCham Taiwan to give back to the community we love. This year, we have invited the firefighters from the Australian Firefighter Calendar to come all the way to Taiwan to join us at the luncheon where you will get opportunities to take photos, dance, interact, and even have one of them to join your table!

All the revenue from the raffle tickets and profit from the sweepstakes will be donated to support charity.

About The Melbourne Cup

The Melbourne Cup is Australia's most famous annual Thoroughbred horse race. It is a 3200-metre race for three-year-olds and over, conducted by the Victoria Racing Club on the Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, Victoria as part of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival. It has a long tradition, with the first race held in 1861 and it has never been cancelled since. It is commonly billed as 'the race that stops a nation', but it is more accurately the race that stops two nations, as many people in New Zealand, as well as Australia, pause to watch the race.
